MajiTech Systems Limited—Standard Warranty Statement for HDPE Pipes
MajiTech Systems Limited (“MajiTech”) warrants to the original purchaser that its high-density polyethene (HDPE) pipes will be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship under normal use and service for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase.
Scope of Warranty
This warranty covers defects in the HDPE pipe itself, specifically those arising from MajiTech’s manufacturing processes or the materials used in the production of the pipes. This includes, but is not limited to, issues such as:
- Cracking, splitting, or significant degradation of the pipe material under normal operating conditions.
- Manufacturing flaws that lead to leaks or structural failure not attributable to external factors.
- Non-conformance to applicable ASTM, ISO, or other specified industry standards for HDPE pipe performance.
Exclusions from Warranty
This warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from:
- Improper Installation: This includes, but is not limited to, incorrect jointing procedures, inadequate bedding, insufficient backfilling, or failure to follow MajiTech’s recommended installation guidelines.
- Misuse or Abuse: Damage caused by negligence, accident, vandalism, unauthorized modifications, or use beyond the pipe’s rated pressure and temperature limits.
- External Factors: Damage due to acts of nature (e.g., earthquakes, floods, lightning), fire, unusual ground movement, chemical exposure not compatible with HDPE, or impact from heavy machinery or sharp objects.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Deterioration due to the natural aging process or expected wear under normal operating conditions.
- Storage or Handling Damage: Damage incurred during storage or handling prior to installation that is not directly attributable to a manufacturing defect.
- Repairs or Alterations: Any repairs or alterations made to the pipe by unauthorized parties.
- Corrosion: While HDPE is highly corrosion-resistant, this exclusion applies to any damage from external corrosive agents not inherent to the pipe’s material properties or manufacturing.
Remedies Under Warranty
If a defect covered by this warranty is identified within the warranty period, MajiTech, at its sole discretion, will either:
- Repair the defective pipe.
- Replace the defective pipe or the defective section of pipe with a new, equivalent product.
- Issue a credit for the original purchase price of the defective pipe.
MajiTech’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product or the issuance of a credit. MajiTech will not be responsible for any costs associated with the removal of the defective pipe, installation of the replacement pipe, labor costs, or any other incidental or consequential damages.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:
- Notify MajiTech Systems Limited in writing within thirty (30) days of discovering the alleged defect.
- Provide proof of purchase (e.g., invoice, receipt) and the date of purchase.
- Allow MajiTech or its authorized representative to inspect the alleged defective pipe. This may include providing photographs, samples, or on-site access.
- Provide details of the installation and operating conditions.
Failure to follow these procedures may void your warranty claim.
Limitations
This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by MajiTech Systems Limited for its HDPE pipes. MajiTech disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No employee, agent, or representative of MajiTech is authorized to make any warranty or representation contrary to this statement.
