Manufacturing of HDPE Pipes in Kenya.
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), pipes are used widely for different purposes due to their versatility. HDPE pipes are mostly used for water mains such as irrigation drips, Gas mains, and electrical conduits.
At Majitechsystems we pride ourselves as the leading HDPE pipe manufacturer in Kenya. We supply to individuals and other suppliers all over the country.
Our pipes are manufactured using food-grade polyethylene virgin material. This makes the pipes safe for transferring drinking water. Their resistance to many chemicals makes them a preferred choice for process plants, especially in corrosive environments.
Manufacturing Process of HDPE Pipes -Nairobi, Kenya.
HDPE resin is strongly heated and passed or squeezed through a mold. This process is commonly referred to as extrusion. Any moisture is removed from the pellets by passing them through a hopper dryer into a blender.
Inside the blender the pellets are molten and the liquid is fed into the mold. This mold shapes the molten material into the preferred pipe size and thickness. The pipes are then quickly fed into the cooling tank where they are sprayed with cold water. The cooling is controlled and incremented by 10 degrees to avoid deformity.
Once the pipes have cooled down their size, date, manufacturer’s name, and type are laser-printed on the side of the pipe and graded accordingly.
